Hi there,
I mostly built custom amps and preamps to the customer specifications.
However, once in a while, I have equipment for sale and here is where I will post them.
Thank you for your interest in my designs!
Best wishes,
Radu from a Simple Pleasure Audio place

2. SET EL34 amplifier with Hashimoto output transformers

Shiny Eyes EL34-6SN7 SET Single Ended Amplifier Triode and UL by Radu Tarta@2025
Here is another variation of a very good sounding EL34 amplifier using Hashimoto output transformers. This is a single ended, triode or ultra linear switchable and self-biased amplifier. Just plug and play, and enjoy a very musical device. The predominant second harmonic makes this amp very close to a DHT SET sound. The max power output is 4W (8 ohms load) in triode mode. It is 8W in UL mode. This makes it useful for a variety of speakers with sensitivity over 90 db.
The amplifier uses the very well-known 6SN7 as drivers. They are wired with triodes in parallel and loaded on active CCS loads. They are capacitor coupled to the EL34, using red Arizona caps.
The power supply has very large toroidal transformer (400VA, Antek) and uses a 5AR4/GZ34 rectifier.
All components are high quality and audio grade. The amp is built to last.
The amplifier is built on a very sturdy chassis by Landfall systems, 1/8” aluminum all the way. The front and sides are dark Peruvian walnut.
Specifications
Triode mode: Gain 13dB, Input impedance 100k, and input sensitivity 1.23Vrms for 4W max output on 8ohms.
UL mode: Gain 17dB, Input impedance 100k, and input sensitivity 1.18Vrms for 8W max output on 8ohms.
The amplifier will work with EL34, 6CA7 and KT77. 6L6 is not an option.
The amplifier measures 18x14x9” (WxDxH) and weighs about 42 lbs.

3. Shiny Eyes SET 300B amplifier with Electra-Print output transformers

This is my latest build of the 300B SET amps. It uses 300B power tubes and the 6E5P powerful driver. The output transformers are the low IMD Electra-Print. The amp is transformer coupled early Western electric style with modern electronics support. The interstage transformers are the LL1671/30mA from Lundahl, Sweden. The audio path is well thought and all components are of high quality: Cardas BP and RCA, Mundorf, Elna Cerafine, Obbligato caps, Takman, Mundorf, Vishay MILspec resistors
The power supply section was designed with a lot of care to have the least impact to the quality of the sound. Each 300B filament has its own regulated supply, the driver filament is DC regulated, and the high voltage supply has plenty of reserve and has a very low ripple, using the 6CJ3 tube rectifiers and a CLCLC filter.
There are two Hoyt USA front panel analog meters that show the plate current of each 300B and should measure around 60mA.
The amp is built in a very sturdy aluminum chassis from Dave at Landfallsystems, with front and sides wrapped in Peruvian walnut. The top plate is CNCed at Front Panel Express. The amp dimensions are 19x14x9 (WXDXH), and weigh about 51 lbs.
Selling for $6,000 plus shipping. The price is firm and includes all tubes, except the 300Bs.
This amp is a very good choice for whomever is looking for a 8W SET DHT amp using one of the most praised direct heated triodes of all times.
The input sensitivity is 2 Vrms for full power output. The speaker output is optimal for 8 ohms. The amplifier was built to last, and tested and broken in for 50 hours.
